Artist Bio
Alyssa Renee Eady was born and raised in Huntsville, Alabama. Earning a BFA: concentration in photography at UAH. She is a photographer who focuses on abstract photography. Her works explore textures, angles, and lines that abstract the original forms found in the photo. Many of Alyssa’s photos are experimental in nature as forms and lighting have different outcomes depending on the process of the image. Sometimes, it is more interesting to change the colors to bizarre ranges or to have extreme angles while shooting. To create a strange sight from the familiar as she strives for ambiguous photos. Other projects include mixed media working in college as the main method (from recycled materials like candy wrappers, textured paper, or random items). It reflects an abstract style of forms and movement through constructed shapes while adding a different perspective to the pieces. Either by having cotton sticking out in glossy materials or bits contrasting each other. The beginning of these projects focus on the gathering of materials with trial and error throughout the process. Since, the selection process is random in nature as it sparks her interest or creative ideas. It makes the middle section chaotic in nature as the beginning isn’t recognizable in the end result.
As art continues to challenge her limits in new ways, in testing patience with aiming for varying bodies of works throughout her career. Ironically, Alyssa will move to another medium if they have trouble in personal issues. It brings focus and a direction to channel the anger rather than not doing art for periods at a time.
